The network’s digital app will be free to download and use from Apple devices beginning on Thursday.
The app is part of ESPN’s $40 billion plan to offer digital channels on televisions and other devices, which includes an upcoming digital subscription service.
With the introduction of the new app, the network will be able to offer more than 10 hours of content per day, and the app will also offer live streaming of all of ESPN2’s live events.
It’s the latest in a string of digital platforms ESPN is launching for its customers.
ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN3 will all launch in the next few months.
While ESPN3 was launched earlier this year, ESPN3 is still in its early stages of development.
