Posted October 12, 2019 07:15:36Sony has made some big changes to its PS4 digital edition line, with the PlayStation 4 Pro Edition selling for $249.99, a 25% price drop from its original $349.99 price.
The PS4 Pro Edition now also comes with an additional digital frame, a more premium model for the more affordable PS4, and a “digital marketing” strategy designed to improve sales of PS4 hardware.
The Digital Edition was designed to help Sony’s new streaming TV service, PlayStation Now, make a profit.
It also comes in a gold, silver, and gold-colored case.
The Ps4 Pro edition is available for preorder on PlayStation.com and the PlayStation Store.
It’s not a launch title and will only be available to those in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
A $99 price drop is good news for those looking to upgrade their PS4.
The original PS4 came with an MSRP of $399, but it dropped to $349 in December.
