The latest NHL news story: St. Louis Blues’ Jaden Schwartz has NHL experience

Jaden “Jaden” Schwartz is a native of St. Charles, Missouri, and the son of former NHLer Wayne Schwartz.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound defenseman is an offensive specialist and a puck-moving defenseman.

He is the youngest player to play in the NHL and the youngest defenseman in the history of the NHL.

Schwartz was drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 121st overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Schwartz has played one NHL game, with the Blues last year.

Schwartz is currently playing for Team Finland in the World Junior Championship.

His father, Wayne Schwartz, played six seasons in the National Hockey League, most recently with the New Jersey Devils.

Jaden will make his NHL debut on March 8 against the Nashville Predators.

He was named the AHL’s Most Valuable Player for the 2016-17 season.
